Surfing the web can be a terrifying experience: you can catch an unwanted program, such as adware, spyware, trojans, worms and other potentially damaging applications.

This free application performs a comprehensive scanning of your system and allows you to detect such programs in a quick and easy manner.

FreeFixer interface is very straightforward and is divided into tabs. The first one is the Scanner tab which, as its name implies, allows you to perform a scanning, detecting all the potentially dangerous applications, service providers, DLL files, browser add-ins, toolbars and more. The program shows a report giving you the choice of deleting or keeping the suspected files. Please note that not all files shown in the report are necessarily dangerous; some of them are part of legitimate programs, so if you delete them, you can cause a malfunction in the corresponding program.

The program also allows you to elliminate an unwanted file or folder that can't be otherwise deleted. You only need to go to the Tools tab and choose the File Nuker option. The program will delete the file the next time you reboot your system.

Although the program is free, you can make a donation to support the development of new versions. To do so, you can click on the Donate tab of the program's interface, or go to the developer's website.
